2020 Table Tennis Tournament Fundraiser
It’s tournament time!
Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of September (Labor Day Weekend)
Join use for pong and fun and raise money for the club. It’s been a difficult time for many, the club included. Here’s your chance to support the club and have some fun doing so!
To keep everyone safe we are taking several precautions.
2. Round robin groups will be stagger to limit the number of people at the club at one time.
3. All participants are encouraged to come alone. Exceptions would include kids accompanied by a parent or players with a coach. In these situation it will be limited to one guest per player.
4. All spectators and players between matches will be encouraged to wear face covering.
The event will be held on 4 Butterfly tables using the Nittaku 3-Star PREMIUM 40+ Balls. ITTF table tennis rules will apply http://www.ittf.com/handbook/

Format: Double Round Robin
Singles $40
Day One – 09/05/2020: Seeding:
Each player will placed into a round robin of six player (number may very depending on number of participants) seeded by rating/skill level. Each round robin will have high to low level players.
Round robins will be staggered. Example: Group 1 will play from 9am until 11am, Group 2 11am to 1pm, Group 3 1pm to 3pm.
Day Two – 09/06/2020: Division Round Robins:
All players will advance to the day two division round robins. Divisions will be determined by players win/loss record in the seeding round robin on day one. Top two players will go to A Division, middle two B Division and bottom two will go into the C Division (Divisions and number of players advanced into each division may very depending on number of participants). 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the day to round robin will receive prizes.

Support the Club
For the past 10 years, Salt Lake City Table Tennis has been more than just a gym, it’s a family. SLCTT is where we hang out with good friends, relieve stress, and hone our table tennis skills. In uncertain times it’s even more important to have this type of social interaction and support, which makes this decision so difficult. However, our table tennis family extends beyond our gyms to the community as a whole.
The focus of the club has never been to make money. We bought the club because we’re passionate about table tennis. The club typically makes just enough to cover expenses, but with all the cancellations from COVID-19, we are taking a loss each months. The future of the club is uncertain if we can’t cover the majority of our expenses in the coming months.
We know times are tough, and many people are having financial hardships as well, due to Coronavirus. We’re asking for your help by donating what you can, so we can keep a location for the wonderful Table Tennis Community we’ve built in the past 10 years a place to play.
